Send a Kid to Camp Phone Bank - undefined, undefined
Greetings, friends! We want you to be a part of the Fox 61 “Send a Kid to Camp” Phone Bank, benefiting Hartford’s Camp Courant. The Phone Bank will air live from Fox 61 and WCCT (CW) on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 beginning from 9a.m. to 10a.m. and then returning from 4p.m. to 7p.m. Your support of this campaign will help Hartford’s Camp Courant and Fox 61 further their missions to support education-based programs for children throughout the greater Hartford community. Our goal is to raise $100,000 during the live four-hour televised fundraiser, which will help to enhance the summer experience for nearly 1,000 Hartford children this year. We have a long standing, aligned and focused partnership with Fox 61 who is dedicated to making a positive difference. Everything they do in the community will link directly to their mission of HOPE (Helping Organizations Promote Education) where they will focus their resources to maximize impact. FOX 61 builds bridges between Connecticut companies, nonprofit organizations, citizens and leaders to cultivate collaborative partnerships to inform, educate and inspire their viewers. ASSI Soccer Camp - Ackerman Park
All Star Sports covers every aspect of the world?s most popular game. Kids build confidence and self-esteem as they are challenged with many short-term goals over a week. The trained staff will be able to enhance play, whether they are beginners or have played on travel teams. Each day consists of stretching and warm-ups, drills and skills, fun competitions, and a strategy session all leading up to a game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Equipment needed for this camp: soccer ball and shin guards. Back by popular demand- Camp Bobcat! This camp is brand new with a thrilling jam-packed day. When the boys aren?t too busy learning how to become Jedi Masters or competing in soccer tournaments, they will be forging the creek or creating art projects based on all their favorite books, movies and characters! Think Mine Crafts meet Stars Wars meets Harry Potter at this camp. Every week, boys will get to go swimming and get a special visit from a surprise entertainer. Girls Dance - Sanford Day Camp
Michele Buglio will be the instructor for our Dance program. Michele has been our Dance teacher for a number of years. She has her studio called Dance HDC at the Shoppes at Louviers. Micheles enthusiasm and energy should result in an exciting camp for your child. Dancers will be taught the basics in leaps and turns, ballet, theatre, modern, hip-hop, and Zumba. ----------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. All dancers will be transported in the morning to a professional dance studio for their dance instruction. ----------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Specialty dance shoes are optional, but encouraged. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp.
