Wild Edible Plants Series Session 1 - Jaycees Pavilion
Learn to identify, harvest and prepare wild edible foods. We will go out into the blufflands of southeastern Minnesota and forage for some of the first wild foods after the snow lifts. We will also cover safety and ethical concerns that accompany foraging wild foods. In addition to all this you will also learn to make and use primitive tools that aid us in foraging wild foods. 507-272-5320

JUMP START SPORTS- ALL PRO FOOTBALL CAMP(FULL-DAY) - Ben Robertson Community Center
The All Pro Football Camp teaches campers the basic fundamentals of football in an atmosphere that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork and the joy of sports. This camp is ideal for children who have never played organized football, as well as those who have played youth football for several years. In addition to learning fundamentals, techniques and strategies of the sport, campers will participate in flag football games every day as well as fun games and contests such as ?Punt, Pass, and Kick? and ?NFL Fast Football?. All equipment will be provided. Join anytime during the week (fee will be pro-rated). Multi-Camp Discount: Register for two or more full-day Jump Start Sports Camps and receive a $15 discount off the registration fee for the second and each subsequent camp. Supplies: Campers should bring a packed lunch with a beverage, snacks and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Farm to Table - Farm Store
Farm to Table campers will work in teams throughout the week to create a variety of dishes. Their focus will be on delicious and healthy snacks, meals, and treats that highlight the produce grown at Greenacres. Campers will learn about new ingredients and review techniques relevant to the recipes they make each day, but will also have plenty of opportunities to express their creativity and customize their creations. Outside the kitchen, they will harvest some of their ingredients, explore the gardens and fields, and interact with the producers. Campers will take home an apron as well as a binder of recipes and information at the end of the week. Please note any dietary restrictions when registering. Calling all ye Fairies, Gnomes and other magical creatures! Well search for fairy houses and gnome hideouts in the enchanted forests and ponds, and build houses and hideouts of our own! During the week well read fairy tales, play games, create beautiful fairy wings that sparkle and shine and make gnome hats to wear in the garden! Little League Camp Week 2 - Sunken Diamond
The Stanford Baseball School (Part ONE), along with the Stanford Games Camp (Part TWO), are designed to be taken simultaneously by those that enjoy and have a passion for the game. Participants will first be grouped by age, ability, and prior experiences. During the morning instructional session throughout each week, participants will be coached in several baseball skills, fundamentals, and team concepts. Members of the camp will receive instruction in a variety of areas including hitting, infield play, outfield play, pitching, catching, rundowns, double plays and base running. Finally, everyday campers will hit in our hitting facility. In the Games Camp (Part TWO) players are grouped by age and ability and teams are formed. Teams play against one another in a coach pitched game where the goal is to see that ball put into play.
