Camp Fowler Festif - Orefield, PA
Now in its 5th year, Festif is a family fun event that combines cycling, trail running, entertainment, food, and fun. Rides range from family friendly distances to a quad burning 44 miles. All riders will have cue sheets and routes well marked. There will be rider support on each route and both the 20 and 44 mile route each have a well stocked rest stop. NEW for 2016: 5k and 10k Fox and Hound runs! Chase our "fox" around Camp Fowler during these trail runs. The 5k is both family and walker friendly and prizes will be given to anyone who is able to follow the foxes clues and catch them before the finish. Cycling or running isn't for you? Football Camp K­ - 5th - SCDS
This football camp starts our young players with a love for the game and correct instruction to play the game. Young boys love to run and jump and play. Many of them also love to roll around and tussle. If you have such a boy, we would like to help him channel these natural inclinations into a love of the game of football, and to guide him in learning the fundamentals of how to run, throw, catch, kick, block, and tackle. Staffed by SCDS coaches and players the camp will guide youngsters toward an understanding of the basics. Campers will gain an understanding of football rules, terminology, and basic strategy. Each day will include individual instruction as well as competitive flag football games. Athletes of all experience levels are welcome and no equipment is required other than cleats/sneakers, athletic clothes and a willingness to play hard and have fun. 2016 Basic Sports Medicine Camp - Athletic Training Center
By popular demand, Stanford University Sports Medicine will be opening its doors again to expose its unique methods of medical care for the nations most elite athletes. The programs expert level clinicians will provide hands-on instruction of topics from the very basics of sports medicine care to the integration of cutting edge approaches to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and athletic performance. The program includes: Anatomy and Musculoskeletal Injury Emergency Preparedness Injury and Illness Prevention Movement and Performance Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, see firsthand how advanced technologies positively impact injury recovery and training. Recommended for high school students interested in sports medicine or a career in athletic training. Specifically for those with no experience in Sports Medicine and students who have not taken a sports medicine class.
