From Manga to classic Superheroes, campers will explore different drawing, cartooning and animation styles in this extraordinary mixed media class. Some of our projects include creating character profiles and story lines to use in your own comic book and figure, and making doodles into colorful art posters. Students will learn to create human, animal or monster sculptures with papier mache. They will start by creating an armature from wire and newspaper. They will learn the best types of glues and to keep the mess to a minimum and speed drying times. We will use colored and painted papers for the final layer. In the last session, details will be added with a wide range of craft materials. The will learn how to create impressive sculptures that can be adapted for a range of school projects.
