2016 Walk A Kid To Camp (-athon) - Puyallup, WA
The Salvation Army is hosting a walkathon to raise funds to help send children to summer camp. We offer several camp sessions lasting from three to eight days for children of various ages. Your child will be supervised by caring on-site counselors.There are three types of camping experiences for children ranging in age from six to sixteen which include; residential camps, day camps and teen wilderness camps. We need help raising the funds to supporting sending children to camp. Join us June 4 and help us send children to summer camp.

Little Stars (July 25) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp is a special introduction to acting that gives each child a chance to shine! Whether your child loves to do "shows" in your living room, or you wish they felt more comfortable expressing themselves, in this camp every voice is heard. We use creative movement and fun acting games that boost confidence and help build the body-mind connection. With a camper to caring counselor ratio of 4:1, there is a lot of individual attention. Confidence grows as children share their ideas and impressions, working collaboratively on their skit. Each week there are improv games and fun activities that help with concentration and observation skills. During the week campers sing and tell some jokes onstage, build a shoe box set, and paint the scenery for the show. Each day campers practice and prepare for their skit on Friday. We laugh a lot! INSTRUCTOR ROBERTA MASTERS-CULLEN has been teaching childrens classes and camps at the Little Theatre for seven years. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild specializing in radio and television voiceovers, and has been a television news anchor and reporter. Summer String Fest I with Laura Norris - The Philadelphia School
This program is designed to be an extension of musical learning for students who currently take private violin or cello lessons. During this camp we will learn new songs, discuss playing technique, learn basic music theory, and play music games. We will end the week with a mini-performance, during which campers can showcase what theyve learned. Students who wish to participate must have completed at least one year of private lesson study on their instrument. Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am. Earthlings Outdoor Playschool A - Connolly Ranch
Earthlings Outdoor Playschool is a year-round educational experience where respect is our foundation, play our method and the natural world our medium. Earthlings focus is to inspire childrens connection with the beautiful, wondrous and magical earth that we all share, emphasizing the importance of stewardship and care for our families, our communities and our planet. All Earthlings must be potty trained (no pull-ups). Please send children with labeled (childs name) water bottle and a non-sugary snack in reusable containers. For safe play, please dress Earthlings in closed shoes, long pants and a hat. A parent (or other adult) is asked to be a helper at least one day per session. Welcome to Hogwarts Americana-the American extension of Hogwarts. Campers will be immersed in the fictional world of Harry Potter. They will start off by being sorted into one of four houses-Paladorn, Grizelstorm, Embredor or Firesong. During this magical week, students will experience Potion Making, Charms, Muggle Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Quidditch and plenty of games that will give them chances to earn points for their houses. Who will win the house cup? Campers should bring a lunch and snack daily except on Friday when will will provide food for the End of Term Feast!
