Discover skills of the ancient scout, nearly lost to history, if it weren’t for a handful of people who kept these practices alive. We’re a staff who has studied under scouts only once removed from the likes of Baden-Powell and Geronimo. A scout must live in honor, balance and harmony with the earth in order to blend with nature and move over any terrain like a shadow. There’s also an aspect of martial arts in this camp, using tricks of mind-over-matter to help us accomplish feats that seem impossible. Camp Goals & Skills Covered: The goal of Secrets of the Ancient Scout is to introduce you to the scout code of honor, including teamwork. Summer Camp Reunion Weekend - Paige, TX
We just love seeing our campers and their families return to the village in February and March to enjoy Sherwood Forest Faire, and obviously a great part of that is when campers encounter each other! This year, for the first time, we would like to have an official "Reunion" for our Youth Campers and Adult Campers alike to help facilitate that. Both events (which will be separate, because we don't want the Adult Campers teaching the younger ones bad habits) will take place during weekend #2, Feb 20-21. Mark your calendar! When more details are available, they will be posted here.

Our tentative trip list includes Bowling, Skating, Governors Island, Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty, Movies, Water Park, African Burial Ground, 9/11 Memorial, Zoo etc. Breakfast and Lunch provided through our local Public School Shirts and bags will be ready for pick up at the June 1st Open House Additional items T shirt - $7 Shorts - $12 Bag - $10 Drum Sticks - $10 Mouthpiece - $15 Camp registration is capped at 120 registrants. ASSI Super Sports Camp - Ackerman Park
This camp is for the all around athlete or for someone who wants to try it all. Sports like soccer, basketball, hockey, football, and baseball will be taught in detail. The main focal point of this camp is teamwork and sportsmanship. Each sport is covered in a way so that every participant can contribute to his or her teams success. This camp is not about winning or losing its about having FUN and learning. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All equipment is provided for this camp. Please be sure to bring a water bottle and apply sunscreen. LOCATION Ackerman Park Playground
Video & Special FX (PM) - The Digital Arts Experience
Come for all 5 days or drop in for the day! Our drop in workshops are aimed at beginner to intermediate level students. Because our classes are small groups, instructors can gauge each students skill level and assign daily projects accordingly. Students will learn about the basics of compositing and visual effects. They will use different techniques such as green screen, color correction, image stabilization, 2 point tracking, blending modes, stencils and more with different projects each day. 9146448100.0

Finish your summer with a cheer. Join us in the last week of the summer at Whetstone Community Center for cheer and tumbling fun. Campers will learn the basics of stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and dance. Our instructors will work with girls and boys ages 6-14 at all skill levels to help them reach their goals in a safe and fun environment. They will also participate in art activities focused toward cheerleading. On Friday afternoon, campers will showcase their cheer skills in a team performance for friends and family members. *Campers are required to bring an extra pair of clean tennis shoes.
