Mix Majors Kid Creator program teaches kids how to make the music they actually listen to. Kids collaborate with each other and their instructor to create their own songs in a fully functioning music studio. Kids participate in all aspects of Music Production, from programming beats, to composing and playing melodies, to writing lyrics and recording vocals. Music Production is audio engineering driven by musical imagination. The Kid Creator program brings kids musical ideas to life while challenging both sides of the brain and exemplifying principles of STEAM (i.e. Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Ball Handling camp is designed to teach players to handle the basketball with control and confidence. Players learn ball handling and dribbling techniques such as crossover, between the legs, behind the back and reverse pivot. Rain Forest Adventures - Forney, Trinity Family Church
Kids will learn about the rain forest through art & literature this week! They will draw & paint toucans, tree frogs, mandrills, exotic plants of the jungle, & many other aspects of the rain forest. Campers will enjoy using their creativity to create rain forest animals from clay each day. Please bring to camp: Large shoe or boot box for fired clay pieces (write name on box), old shirt to wear during camp Each day: Drink & snack to enjoy during 15 minute break About our Summer Camp! Campers will experience 3 hours of creative opportunities each day. They will learn & practice basic skills such as drawing with pencil, markers, charcoal, oil & chalk pastels. Students will learn color mixing & painting with artist paintbrushes while using watercolors & acrylic paints. Every day, students will get their hands into clay while they learn handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil & slab. All clay projects will be fired & will be ready 2-3 weeks after camp. Polpis PM Van - Week 4 - Polpis Harbor
In an effort to alleviate the traffic going to Polpis in the mornings, NCS is offering a bus to Polpis Harbor from the Nantucket Elementary School. Space is limited, so we suggest registering for this service early. This year the bus is being offered as a round trip service. The afternoon sessions bus will leave the Nantucket Elementary School promptly at 12:35am in order to get the children to their morning programs on time. The bus will return to the Elementary School with the sailors by 3:45pm and Parents/Guardians are responsible for promptly picking up their children. There is a $20 late pick-up fee, which will be billed to your NCS account, if a parent/guardian is later than 15 minutes to pick-up their student. ** Please note: This is a weekly sign-up, not bi-weekly! 5082286600.0
