Pop! Fizz! Chemical Reactions - Seattle Preparatory School
This is the perfect introduction to chemical reactions for curious middle school students! Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep. 1st Session - Crochet / Knitting/ Paper Folding - YSCP
Instructor: Ms. Anamaria Here is the summary for the club. Below it is the summary for me: Crochet/Knitting and Paper folding In this club we focus on learning basic crochet or knitting techniques. This includes learning how to read charts. Students choose between knitting or crochet to start. They have option of learning the other later. Squares are the main building blocks for all of the projects. Projects will be up to the students to choose. They range from a scarf, book cover to a basic shirt. There will also be small non-square projects like mustaches, flowers and balls. Focusing on squares gives participants a quick project that can easily be completed during club time after the first few sessions. It also allows for lots of color without having to change or join yarn. Small projects like these can easily be done anywhere. The possibilities are endless for completed projects. A completed scarf can easily become a blanket later on if they want with the simple addition of more squares. Owlet Camp I - Rice University
The half day camp is designed for the younger players. It is open to any and all boys and girls ages 4-6. Each player will receive an official Rice Soccer Ball and an official Rice Soccer Camp T-shirt at the end of the week. Campers will begin each day with dynamic warm up exercises to loosen up and get ready for the day. This will be followed by the technical portion of the session, focusing on ball control, passing and shooting. The day will conclude with small sided fun games where campers will have the opportunity to utilize skills learned earlier in the day. The Owlet Camp runs from 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. each Monday of camp. Cost of camp: $265 713-348-6955

Aquatics Camp - Nursery - Avenues New York
Over the course of 4 days, the nursery students will learn essential swimming skills through fun and games. There will be a high focus on having fun, enjoying being in the water, learning to swim and water safety. Requirements: Must be in the Nursery group (3y – 4y).
