4-H Teen Voices Retreat - New Windsor, IL
Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to join Rock Island County 4-H for an interactive leadership retreat on Saturday, August 29 at Camp Summit in New Windsor. Teens will get to participate in team-building exercises, go zip-lining and other outdoor activities as well as give their input into ideas they would like to see for youth programs in the local community. Teens will learn ways they can use their interests and skills to develop their leadership, citizenship, presentation and organization skills by becoming in involved in the various 4-H Teen programs offered in Rock Island County.

2016 Minister's Retreat - Albemarle, NC
Mark your calendars for October 3-5 and make plans to gather with pastors from throughout North Carolina at Joshua Free Will Baptist Youth Camp in Albemarle, NC for the annual North Carolina Association of Free Will Baptists Ministers' Retreat. Set aside the demands of ministry and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Camp Joshua. You'll find rest and renewal with pastors, preachers, and ministry leaders who have come from the coast to the mountains gather together for mutual support and encouragement. For those sports-minded men, golf outings will be arranged for both Monday and Tuesday. Bring your clubs! The festivities begin on Monday evening with dinner at 6:00 p.m. Our first service kicks off at 7:00 p.m. with featured speakers Rev. Visual Arts & Nature - Maple Hill Farm
Build your skills in drawing and painting! Learn to see more clearly, and express yourself through the visual arts. This program provides opportunities for painting and field sketching as well as exploration of Beaver Brooks beautiful fields, forests, and streams. There will be opportunities for direct drawing of animals as well as from prints of outstanding artwork produced by artists from around the world. Through games and stories, youll also learn more about the lives of the plants and animals of the Northeast. This is an exciting and low-pressure camp for all girls looking to improve their skills. The camp stresses fundamentals, game play, and having fun! Sports Camp week 5- Basketball (ages 5-12) - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of basketball camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills necessary to excel in the sport including dribbling, passing (chest passes, bounce passes, and overhead passes), shooting (jump shots and full shots), and man to man defense. Agility and hand eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of basketball camp will focus on the basic rules such as traveling, double dribble, charging and blocking, as well as the duties of each position. Additionally modified games of basketball and cooperative games such as knock out, PIG, around the world and 21 will be played during the last hour. As the skills of each child advances, the third hour will consist of more realistic game like situations and a mini tournament based upon age group. Equipment will be provided. New This Year!
