Children ages 6 and up, are invited to share their favorite stories with our furry friends while they await adoption during Telling Tails Story Time. This free hour of storytelling helps our cats practice their people skills, while students grow more confident in their reading skills. It’s a win-win, and totally adorable! Winter Thaw Youth Retreat - Stroudsburg, PA
BRING YOUR YOUTH GROUP ... WE'LL DO THE REST! Just as winter thaws and gives way to spring, a winter retreat for youth groups is offered to challenge your youth to remain strong in their faith and continue to turn to Jesus Christ for direction and comfort in the middle of the school year. An awesome speaker and terrific worship band will help make this weekend spectacular. Participating youth groups must provide chaperones for this retreat. Register by December 31, 2015 to receive a free t-shirt. After this date, t-shirts may be ordered.

Singing for Musical Theatre – Ensemble Performance - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
No class on Feb. 14. This course is designed for singers at any level (grades 2nd - 9th). Students will learn the basics of vocal technique for proper singing, including voice placement and production, breathing, and phrasing. Students will receive guidance in finding their voice type and category. They will also work on presenting songs – learning how to make a song come alive by not just singing it, but interpreting and performing it. This semesters in-class concentration will be on musical theatre chorus/ensemble numbers. Students will work on singing together, and will be taught not just melodies, but also how to sing harmonies and various vocal parts. (An ability to sing harmonies and to sing with others is an essential part of musical theatre performance.) Some of the songs will also include basic movement/staging, and the music and movement that is learned will be presented/ performed in a musical revue format. Students will perform on the LTA stage in the Spring Showcase on April 1st and 2nd! (Students who wish to participate in the Showcase must be available for rehearsals during the early evening hours the week of March 28th.) Make Your Own Comic Book - The Evergreen School
Students will draw their own comic book while learning storyboarding, basic character drawing, and 3D drawing. There will be opportunities to read comic books and to use how-to-draw guides in Manga, Anime, and various other styles. On the last day everyone will take home the comic book they created. This class is led in a supportive and creative atmosphere by Lukas Allenbaugh, who has over 20 years of experience teaching various styles of art to children. 206-957-1533

Volleyball Camp, Grades 5-9, Licensed - Longmeadow High School
Join Coach George Mulry and his players at this high energy, skill packed camp. Players will learn the fundamentals and techniques that make the LHS program so successful. Drills and play will focus on the basic skills of volleyball including serving, passing, hitting, setting, blocking, serve-receive and defense. Players of all levels and positions are encouraged to attend. Campers should pack a peanut free lunch and water bottle daily. Weekly Player Development Camp - Kennesaw State University (Stillwell Stadium)
The Owls Baseball Camp Staff is happy to announce a weekly Player Development camp this Spring. This camp will be ran exclusively by Assistant Coach Trey Fowler and is open to any high school age player looking to improve his game in a variety of areas. Focus will be given each week to developing essential parts of the players game including but not limited to arm strength & speed development, speed enhancement, positional improvement, and offensive production. Each session will be 2 hours in length and will encompass a combination of the above mentioned areas with the sole purpose of Player Development. Sessions will take place on Monday nights from 6:00-8:00 and will include the following dates Feb 29th, March 7th, March 14th, March 21st, April 4th, April 18th, April 25th and May 2nd The cost to attend each session is 50.00.
