Snowed In Youth Retreat - Annville, KY
Hey there campers! We will be having a retreat out at camp for 6TH-12TH GRADE! Arrival time is at 6:30. We will be doing dinner that evening and then have a lot of games and activities planned. Brunch will be served the next morning. Check out time will be by 11:00am on Saturday. The cost is $10 per person. If your youth group plans to attend please have your Youth Leader get a hold of me. Invite your friends and let us know that you are coming so we can make plans! We are so excited about this evening and are looking forward to seeing each of you there! Camps - Campapalooza I - Recreation Center at Michelle Obma School of Techn
Come learn and grow with us at Campapalooza I, where the participants will fill their days with team sports, art classes, swimming lessons, open swim, movie day, weekly field trips and much more! There will be plenty of fun had by all. Participants provide their own sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, and movie concession money. Snacks, swim instruction, open swim, all classes, movie admission and field trips are included. No camp on July 4th. A newly added benefit is all Campapalooza I campers will receive a complimentary 2016 Park Forest Aqua Center membership. Payment Plan Terms : A $100 deposit per camper and a $10 payment plan processing fee must be paid in full at registration. Remaining camp balance must be paid in full by Monday, June 6, 2016 to attend camp. From butterflies and beetles, to birds and buttercups, and more! Flora and fauna abounds in this secluded historic garden; there is so much to explore! Camp will be held outdoors when weather permits, as well as in Van Vlecks spacious and air conditioned Education Center. SummerARTs fantastic teaching artists will teach camp sessions, and projects will include a variety of fine art materials and methods such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and more. Students will have the opportunity to exhibit their work and celebrate what they have learned with family and friends at a closing reception held at the end of each session. Join us for camp in the Gardens! Discounted price applies to MAM Family Members, as well as Friends of Van Vleck House and Gardens. Shining Stars - Musical Theatre (July 11) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp gives young performers a chance to experience being in a theatrical production, focusing on individual and group creativity while working collaboratively as a team. Students will play theatrically based games and work hard on learning and rehearsing for a show. This camp also allows students to experience the rehearsal process and is a great way to prepare them to be a part of a full length play or musical in school or in the community. The campers will participate in a musical through learning songs, dances, and scenes for them to perform as a whole by the end of the session. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. Prep players will gain court-confidence from an intensive physical study of the fundamentals of the game of basketball under the guidance of Boys Head Coach Todd Howard and his staff. Prep players will bring their game to a new level: from drills in dribbling to shooting, to games and strategy exercises, players will gain the keys to success on the court. Head Boys Basketball Coach Todd Howard has just completed his second season at Brebeuf.
