Lights & Lasers! (4th - 6th) - Discovery Science Place
Become a Mad Scientist while performing labs as a CSI (crime scene investigator), create your own version of slime/goo, make the coolest, largest soap bubbles possible, set-off exploding Mentos geysers, and more! The Mad Scientist Summer Camp gives kids the opportunity to learn about science through a variety of interactive and hands-on science experiments and activities. Each camp is adapted for our two different age groups with age-appropriate, safe experiments and fun. Star Wars Camp Grades K-8 - Slauson Middle School
Come to a galaxy far, far away and learn the mysterious ways of the force! In one exciting week, campers enroll in our Jedi Academy where they learn to use the Force, and become highly trained in the use of light sabers, including light saber safety! With the help of your fellow Jedi, you compete in Star Wars trivia contests, work together to construct a Star Wars planet, design costumes and compete for "Jedi points" to increase your Star Wars rank. Now you too, can battle with the dark side and restore the Jedi order. Campers are divided by grade into developmentally appropriate groups. Enroll now ! This is Big Folks! We are so excited to present something we have been planning for a long time. Introducing Van-A-Gogh-Go, Austins Traveling Art Camp! Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Countrys Art Scene. Well visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. Well stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.Traveling Art Camp Austin Well head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more. Future Robot Creator - United Faith Christian Academy
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™ components and easy to use software. Our young creators will build models, attach sensors and motors, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply snapping bricks together, campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Robot models include a variety of animals, soccer players, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories. When ready, campers move to advanced building and programming projects that include: a Racecar, Ferris wheel, and Carousel. As the week draws to a close, campers can utilize the skills they have learned to build an X-wing fighter or Marine helicopter. Parents are invited to join us on Fridays Family Day to view their childs creations. Campers will also complete a small LEGO® project that they will be able to take home. 7047743016.0
