Downtown Kid's Art Camp - Morristown, TN
Join us for some fun activities right in your downtown area! Yummy Cakes and More, I am an Artist, and Pink Pig Pottery studio have teamed together to make an art camp that the kids will never forget! We will be learning some awesome painting techniques, baking projects (YUMMY!), and much more! We hope you can join in on the art extravaganza! The kids will need to pack a lunch for the first two days, but The Meeting Place downtown will provide lunch hon the third day! Call us at 423-307-5777 with any questions! Endless Summer 80's Beach Boot Camp Bash - Ocean City, MD
Come one come all.. the season is almost over and it is time for the locals to have a friendly competition. There will be 4 events to compete in. Teams consist of 4- 6 people and must be even numbered between male and female participants. The biggest attraction will be an inflatable obstacle course set up on the beach! The second event is a tray carry competition on the beach- try not to spill! The third event is our rendition of ski-ball- each person will have 9 mallets to try to score the most points. The final event is a flip-pong competition...2 of our favorite activities mixed into one flip cup and beer pong. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams. There will also be prizes awarded to the best dressed 80's team. Jagermeister and Natty Boh will be sponsoring the event. Mug & Mallet will have happy hour prices all day to keep everyone fed and hydrated!!! The cost is $75.00 dollars a team and proceeds will go to the Ocean City Downtown Association. This is the first year trying this event and we are really looking forward to making it a huge success!

This weeks theme is Jurassic Journey. Dinosaurs come back to life! Journey through time back 65 million years, when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Fossils, volcanoes and dinos all help campers explore the Jurassic world. Dinosaur week, engages campers through interesting and motivating activities. Campers will practice many social skills planned around their needs and skills to promote friendship building, cooperation, teamwork, and interaction skills. Campers will enjoy fun activities centered on social interaction, cooperative play, conversation skills, turn taking, and many more skills appropriate for their age and ability level. Canvas Painting (ages 5-7) M-F 1-4pm - Meadowlark Community Church
Canvas Painting (AGES 5-7 for the PM) Explore the colorful world of paint with teaching artist Deron Cohen (www.deroncohen.com). We will be making at least two paintings over these 5 days. Through step-by-step instruction and demonstration, students will learn how to break down an image into its most basic shapes and transfer those shapes onto the canvas. We will also explore the Imagination as students are guided through a creative process that encourages experimentation while also re-enforcing all of the previous techniques and skills developed. Time permitting, students will be encouraged to make another painting incorporating all the techniques learned throughout the week.
