This camp is all about getting wet! Learn about the issues surrounding water locally and around the world. Well read a variety of books about water adventures and even have a river rafting adventure of our own! Campers will explore the waterways in our Yampa River Valley and try their hands at catching aquatic insects and fish. This camp includes an overnight rafting trip with Camp Splash II students. Students will attend camp in Steamboat M-W 8:30-5PM. Leave Steamboat early Thursday morning and return Friday at 1pm. 855-426-6587

Prepare for SAT success! In this rigorous, half-day camp, youll learn the form and style of the test--which was completely redesigned as of March 2016--as well as the essential content and strategies for approaching each question on the critical reading and writing portions of the SAT. You will learn how to recognize the types of questions asked on the reading passages, become a more critical reader, and identify the evidence on which your answers are based. For the writing section, we will review the most commonly tested grammar rules and skills as well as learn and practice what it takes to write an outstanding essay, which is now optional and follows a completely different format from the previous version of the SAT. Youll leave this camp with the confidence and skills to make your best score yet on critical reading and writing! (An SAT book will be provided.) Jaymee Gaskins received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a masters in Reading Education from Meredith College. The Drama Club will work under the direction of Lil Buds Artistic Director/Co-Founder Jeff Predmore. Mr. Predmore is a professional actor and Director here in Chicago. The students in the Drama Club will work as an ensemble to stage a selected scripted play. The play will be determined based on class size. The students will learn all aspects of putting on a theatrical production, from character creation, staging, choreography and vocal production. The session will end with a final performance for invited family and friends. We will be presenting and adaptation of little mermaid for our final performance. Participants will serve as NASA engineers tasked with developing non-fuel-based rocket launcher prototypes in an effort to maintain current and future NASA space programs and missions.
