Children love being outside playing in the soil, and they love exploring how plants grow in a garden. Join us as we channel your childs natural curiosity as we learn about flowers and edibles from planting to plate. This camp will include a variety of projects plus tastings of a variety of plants and plant parts ranging from roots to flowers (these are all things you normally eat.). F-2 Simple Chemistry Labs and Activities to Teach Difficult and Important Concepts - Aurora
This will be a hands-on session where participants will perform four chemistry activities/experiments (two of the experiments will be a variation on one theme). The topics will include bonding, equilibrium, and stoichiometry. Teachers will be provided with copies of the activities to take back to their classes. Jr. Brick Robotics - Our Saviors Lutheran School
Campers get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO® WeDo™ components and easy to use software. Our young creators will build models, attach sensors, and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Counselors guide campers through their first 12 robot models, which include a variety of animals, soccer players, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories. If ready, campers than move to advanced building and programming projects that include: a Racecar, Ferris wheel, and Carousel. As the week draws to a close, campers can utilize the skills they have learned to build and program their own creations.
