Home School Art - STEAM Rachel Egelston Thursdays Jan. 7- Feb. 25, 1-2:30 p.m. $105 member / $155 non-member Ages 5-13 all materials provided Students will be introduced to the various correlations between the visual arts and math, science, history and literature. The course features a variety of two- and three- dimensional art forms in the creative process, mediums used include clay, pastels ink, and acrylic. Drivers Education - Bolles San Jose Campus
This course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of actual driving time, and 12 hours of "in-car" observation. The first two weeks will consist of classroom instruction from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Athletic Conference room. Students will be asked to choose a driving session to comply with state requirements. There are two sessions to choose from, with no more than 9 allowed per session. Session I: June 27 - July 8 Session II: July 11 - July 21 All students must attend this segment to comply with State of Florida requirements. Before the students actual driving session, the student must have at least a restricted license. Within each driving session, there will be a driving group that will drive for an hour and a half each day for the two-week period. Similar driving experience will help determine the composition of each group. Students successfully completing this course will receive a Bolles certificate that may qualify them for an insurance discount. 904-256-5071
Summer Stretch Yoga Camp: Circus Theme - Marine Park Building
Weekly Theme: Circus Balance like a palm tree, roar like a lion, and stretch like a giraffe in this fun-filled yoga camp! Camp begins with a 40 minute class where students learn new poses and breathing techniques each day on an imaginary yoga adventure. Class ends by relaxing with peaceful music. After class, the excitement continues with yoga stories and games, a break for lunch, and a creative take-home art activity. Art projects are yoga themed and will relate to the poses learned that day. Fun activities throughout the week include parachute games, treasure hunts, outdoor craft time, face painting, and more! Yoga has been shown to improve focus, confidence, and coordination in children. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water. Chincapin Camp – For girls who are new to horseback riding or would like to focus more on other activities, this track allows them a wholesome balance of camp experiences. Chincapin campers ride 3-4 hours per week and spend the rest of their time at archery, canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts and more. Chincapin Camp with Horseback Riding Focus – For girls who live and breathe horses, this track allows them the maximum amount of time possible in the barn.
