The High School Harp Solo and Ensemble Workshop is open to entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12. The program is an exciting week of solo and ensemble experiences exploring classical traditions and improvisational styles. In addition, participants have the opportunity to attend special master classes on a variety of topics including selected orchestral audition excerpts, chamber music, harp maintenance, and career discussions. The Baltimore Dance Crews Project is excited to launch Spring Forward - a campaign to support BDCP youth. Our goal is to raise $20,000 between March 18th and May 14th for BDCP programs. Our soft lanuch is an opportunity to learn about BDCP and how to become a supporter. LWC will be serving chili, chicken & noodles, and baked potatoes at the museum's annual Kansas Day celebration. Various desserts will also be served. Proceeds will go towards sending students in grades 3-5 to camp this summer. LWC expects to send over 20 kids to camp this year. Teen Week Overnight Camp - Fort Worth, TX
Teen week was so much fun during 2016, we have added it again for 2017. This is a special session only for those 13 and older. Space will be limited and run at a lower number of campers than traditional sessions. This week will focus on activities designed for older campers. At YMCA Camp Carter Overnight Camp, campers live, play and build deep bonds with their peers. Campers must rely on the others in their cabin groups to share daily responsibilities. Teen Week Overnight Camp, runs from Sunday afternoon until Friday evening and includes 15 meals and overnight accommodations in a fully climate controlled cabin with lots of supervision by our well trained staff.
Spring Break Program-Forest Park Elementary - Forest Park Elementary
IMPORTANT: Students need to bring their own laptop with mouse to attend this program. Snacks, Lunch, and beverages are NOT included. The program may be consolidated in one or two school sites based on enrollments. Parents will be informed at least one week prior to program start date. In this program, students learn about 3-D Printing, Vehicle engineering by rapid prototyping, and Computer Programming. They work in teams to build their own battery operated cars and race it on the final day. They learn 3-D modeling tools to make their own 3-D designs. Students will - 1. Learn how an engineer takes an idea from paper to a prototype. 2. Learn what is CAD/CAM and how it is used by Engineers. 3. Develop a design solution using given design constraints. 4. Evaluate competing conceptual design solutions for decision making 5. Plan and execute experiment; Collect and interpret data gathered by experiments; Use experimental data for an improved design solution 6. Learn about 3-D printing. Tired of the 2D world? Join us for a week of 3D creativity. We will explore the worlds of 3D animation and 3D graphics and printing. Learn how to create and animate your world with Alice 3.0 software. These skills can be used to make movies, games and more. Using SketchUp and 3D printing software, we will create our own objects and then bring them to reality. Find out the steps it takes to get your creation out of the computer and into your hands! Non-Resident High Performance Camp (Day Camp Only) - Stanford
A high level gymnastics camp, attending only as a Day Camp, on the Stanford Campus. Open to any and all entrants, this camp is designed primarily for competitive gymnasts, levels 6 through 10. Gymnasts will be grouped by age and competitive experience. This is a unique camp, as it is intended for highly motivated and college bound gymnasts. The High Performance Camp is gymnastics focused with 6-7 hours of training per day. Coached by members of the Stanford Mens Gymnastics Team as well as the Stanford Coaching staff, this camp offers gymnasts the opportunity to raise their skills to the next level. During this camp, the gymnasts will be coached and taught each aspect of training at the highest level. This includes technical coaching on all events, air-sense, execution/presentation, strength and flexibility. Additionally they will be provided insight on the cycling process (assuring peak performance at a specific time), the NCAA Mens Gymnastics program, Stanfords Mens Gymnastics program and being eligible for a collegiate program. The Ford Center Gymnastics Training Facility offers at least two of every apparatus, both over competition landing surfaces and loose foam pits, as well as trampoline, tumble track and spotting belts.
