Summer is the best time of year for fishing, but you need the knowledge of fish habits to help narrow down the best fishing areas by boat and from shore. Open to both experienced and new anglers. Learn the basics of a variety of styles of fishing including rod and reel trolling, bottom fishing, fly fishing, clamming and lobster fishing. Students will also learn about tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. Become more aware of local fisheries and fishing impacts. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. 860-535-9362

Danbee is my second home. Every year i wait for camp. Camp is where i can leave my annoying home friends to be with my sisters. I live with my 9 sisters in a bunk and have the best time of my life summer after summer. Danbee has been a great experience for me i can be who i wanna be with out being judged. Our coaches and staff are thoroughly trained and Certified Trainers who provide a safe and fun environment that guarantees success for all ability levels. During each session we will learn and practice functional movements involving exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play: pull, push,run, throw, climb, lift and jump. Our 3rd day of camp, the students will prepare some fun and festive appitizers perfect for New Year's Eve! They will get to take home a selction to share with family and friends while ringing in the new year. Kid-friendly favorites such as pigs in a blanket, meatballs, cheese straws, and homemade ranch dip for veggies. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off. Learning areas: history, social studies, science, math, kitchen safety. Limit: 10 students Suggested ages: 6+ (younger are welcome with adult helper present) Warning: not an allergy-free event! Nuts will be present as well as wheat. Cost: $15 per child, per class.
