Kid's Cooking Camp - Lake Charles, LA
We are so exited to announce our kids cooking camp! This is a three day camp to be held inside the beautiful Majestic Hall at Walnut Grove. The Camp will include: Day 1 Homemade muffins, strawberry, blueberry, bananas, or chocolate chip Making Pizza from scratch Day 2 Southwest Egg Rolls Quesadillas Day 3 Spring Rolls Stir Fried Noodles with Veggies Each Day will include - snack preparation 10-11 - snack time 11-11:30 - actvity break 11:30 - 12:30 - entree preparation 12:30 - 1:30 - eating time 1:30 - 2:00 Camp fee is $225 per child ages 6-12 We are concerned with the safety of the children atteneding our camp. Final Summer 2016 Kid's Riding Camp - Georgetown, TX
Sign up now for our last riding camp of the summer for children ages 3 - 18. Camps are half days, and kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen and enclosed outdoor arena. Kid's are outside getting exercise in the sunshine and fresh air, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence. What could be better? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, horseman and natural horsemanship clinician with 35+years experience as a professional horse and people trainer, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equpment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Siblings may share helmets as needed. Canvas Painting (AGES 5-7 for the PM) Explore the colorful world of paint with teaching artist Deron Cohen (www.deroncohen.com). We will be making at least two paintings over these 5 days. Through step-by-step instruction and demonstration, students will learn how to break down an image into its most basic shapes and transfer those shapes onto the canvas. We will also explore the Imagination as students are guided through a creative process that encourages experimentation while also re-enforcing all of the previous techniques and skills developed. Time permitting, students will be encouraged to make another painting incorporating all the techniques learned throughout the week.
