This class will consist of daily bike rides to different places to participate in a variety of sporting activities such as visiting local parks and playing soccer, frisbee golf, and organized games. Biking helps both aerobic conditioning and muscle strength. Students must bring a bike, helmet, water bottle, snack and sunscreen. St. Catherine's Koinonia 3 (SCK3) - Panora, IA
Mark your calendars! It's not-quite-but-almost that time of year again! St. Catherine of Siena will be having its third annual Koinonia retreat at the end of February next year (2016). What's Koinonia? It's a Greek word that means 'community'. This student-led retreat helps students grow in their friendship with the community as well as their relationship with God. More details will come soon, but for a general idea of what's going on, here's a bare-bones schedule: -Friday, Feb. 26: we leave St. Kate's and carpool to the St. Thomas More Retreat Center in Panora, IA in the late afternoon and stay for two nights and what turns out to be two days which we spend in prayer and fellowship with one another -Sunday, Feb. 28: we leave Panora in the late morning/early afternoon and return to DSM Applications will be available in the near future. The cost for the retreat is $25 (financial aid is available to those who need it) and more details will come as we get closer to February. And feel free to invite your friends! You don't have to be Catholic to come!

Hover Craft- Design Your Own Vehicle- Egg Drop Car - Do you want to design and build things that you create- not just a model you purchase? Well this is the place for you. Build and keep an air powered Hover Craft. You make it defy gravity. Once its up and moving, then using your creativity, control its direction. Get to build and take home your own car. The purpose is to build a super car powered by more than one source of energy. This can be one crazy looking vehicle. We provide you with many materials for that dynamic vehicle that you will build. Also get to build a Egg Drop Car. The purpose is to build a gravity vehicle that can cushion a raw egg as the car holding the egg is dropped from a high height. We provide you with the material to cushion the fall. You have to be creative. This camp is in the morning and will be held 4 days in Holmdel, NJ. Campers will get a lot of touches on the ball while working on becoming a better technical & tactical player. Todays game is becoming more advanced & Christie has built a program that will help your player.
