We felt it was very important for our kids to spend at least a portion of the summer surrounded by nature. They got plenty of that at Moss Hollow! This was a summer of first for our children including first time in a canoe, first time sleeping overnight outside the home, first time camping, first time fishing. Shakespeare Summer Camp - Pensacola, FL
It's a mystery of Shakespearean proportions as this year’s campers create a whodunit from the ground up using Shakespearean characters, plots, intrigue, dialogue, and combat. Each camper will get to choose a Shakespearean character to play, agree on a Shakespearean murder victim, and help write and perform an original play using Shakespearean themes. Campers will learn about the plays, acting, and stage combat in this week-long experience that culminates in a live performance! SETSCO will provide everything except underwear, shoes, and lunch. Tuition is $235 until May 31 when it will increase to $250, so register early! Ages 9-17 Mon-Fri 9:00-4:30 June 13-17 $235

Thursday After School Spring 2016 - Terra Firma Farm
Terra Firma Farm is entering our 12th year of After School Programs here on the Farm! Throughout the year, the farm-based after school program serves local area students every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The Terra Firma Farm After School program follows the Stonington Public School Calendar for holidays, half days, vacations and cancellations. Students are dropped at the farm after school or on the school bus and must be picked up by 5:30 PM. The After School program offers children in grades K- 4 the opportunity for fun, learning and exploration. Students arrive on the farm and are welcomed with a fresh after school snack. The children then do farm animal chores such as feeding the pigs, goats, cows, donkeys and the hens. A highlight of each day is gathering eggs from the laying hens. After chores are completed, children may participate in a range of other agriculture-based activities, including gardening, cooking, canning and preserving food, cheese- or butter-making, fiber arts, nature crafts, and much more. Our morning program lasts from 9am to 12pm, and includes programs for Jellyfish (ages 4-5), Rockfish (ages 6-8) and Blue Crabs (ages 9-12). The morning session typically consists of three 45-60 minute activities that will be exciting and engaging for your children. During each of these time slots we endeavor to provide options for your child, enabling them to do what they like most and empowering them to have the most fun with their day. Activities throughout the day are structured around three main themes including: OUTDOORS (e.g., nature hikes, sailing, water sports, swim skills, kayaking, survival skills), ARTS (e.g., crafts, indian art, tie dyes) and GAMES (e.g., tennis, basketball, dodgeball, beach challenges).
