Join Smart with Art as we discover sea-life creatures and explore the ocean with clay! We will create a bookend influenced by Edward Hoppers art, including a relief lighthouse design. We will work with glass pieces and clay, as we create a slab box based on Hokusais The Great Wave painting. We will learn about creating coils in clay as we design a tile with a sea creature of our choice. Exploring pinch pots techniques, students will design a bigmouth fish creation. Java Game Programming - The Digital Arts Experience
This program is geared towards students who are beginners or have limited knowledge in Java programming. An intro course that is a great start for older and younger students to begin programming. Students will begin to look at Java programming and creating their own games. These games can be an original idea or a re-imagining of a classic. We will work with glass pieces and clay, as we create a slab box based on Hokusais The Great Wave painting. We will learn about creating coils in clay as we design a tile with a sea creature of our choice. Exploring pinch pots techniques, students will design a bigmouth fish creation. Java Game Programming - The Digital Arts Experience
This program is geared towards students who are beginners or have limited knowledge in Java programming. An intro course that is a great start for older and younger students to begin programming. Students will begin to look at Java programming and creating their own games. These games can be an original idea or a re-imagining of a classic. This course will lay the foundation for all parts of computer programming that a student will encounter later in their education. Pre-register for a 2:15pm audition time for Peninsula Youth Theatres CENTERSTAGE production of "SEUSSICAL." Registration guarantees you a spot in the 2:15pm audition group. You must be age 8-18 or have prior executive director approval. Children must be 8 by 3/17/16 to participate. PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP YOUR SPOT you must arrive by 1:45pm with your paperwork completed for check in and measurements. If you have not arrived by 2:00pm your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and you will be moved to the next available audition slot. We cannot guarantee that that will be the next audition group.
