Explore the amazing world of batik-style silky painting for making a variety of vibrantly colored projects on fabric. Using resist processes to keep dye from penetrating areas of cloth, youll paint a unique design of your choice – landscapes, animals, flowers... Then watch your images come to life as you apply different colored dyes to your piece. Once the resist material is removed, youll have a finished work of art to take home. Art jewelry is cultivated through math and nature. You can find geometry in facet of nature. Geometry illustrates relationships of points, lines, angles, surfaces and solids. Geometry is a configuration of objects or parts that suggest geometric figure. Realize and go beyong your dreams of Zorro, Three Musketeers and lightsaber style through learning fencing as a modern sport! A safe martial arts practice with a sword as a medium! Maître darmes Guillaume Béchaux, has been teaching fencing for 20 years and brings a personal attention to each of his students. Guillaume managed numerous school groups and clubs in France and trained the French wheelchair Olympics team for Athens and Bejiing. The program will develop analytic capabilities and dexterity through a combination of pedagogical games, technicals exercises, tactical exploration and an understanding of the importance of time and space. Fencing is the art of quick reflexes, elegant and athletic movements and mental acuity. Pottery Camp w/Fashion Illustration, Ages 8-12 - The Yard School of Art At Montclair Art Museum
SummerART Camp Full Day Pottery Program 9:30am to 5pm Pottery Camp with Fashion Illustration Session III: July 25 to August 5 Pottery Camp This camp is for children who are interested specifically in working with clay to create pottery, sculpture, and more. Campers are grouped in age-specific classes (6 to 8, and 9 to 12). Campers will have the opportunity to use the Museums diverse collection of Native American pottery as inspiration. Much of the work created in Pottery Camp will be kiln fired, some will be functional, some will be decorative, and all of it will be treasured for years to come. Students in class will learn the exaggeration and enhancement of the fashion figure by studying a live clothed model.
