Come join NESS to learn about the fantastic sport of fly fishing. Saltwater fly fishing is used to target a variety of species available depending on the season. Striped bass and bluefish are local all summer, with the occasional transient like banded rudder fish and jack crevalle. Learn saltwater specific fly fishing techniques to fish your local waters. Gain experience in casting, tackle and fly selection, rigging, fish fighting and proper release techniques. This activity demands specific methods and large areas of space so enrollment is limited. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. 09th 2016 Camp Buckaroo FALL BREAK 3 Day Camp - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 3 (Three) Day Buckaroo Fall Break Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and to care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts and Horse Husbandry including some Horse Health and Welfare. Plus, making friends or renewing relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest once for no additional charge. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cool or cold days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each day. May 31-June 3: Wonders of Water (Ages 9-12) - Mountain Kids!
Water is an important resource for life and fun on a hot summer day! We will go on adventures to find the FUN in water, and will learn a lot in the process. We will go into the Santa Fe watershed to learn first hand where our water comes from and where it goes. We will hunt for aquatic macro-invertebrates (a new, big word!). We will talk about how and why to conserve water, and get some first hand experience with the power of water at Bandelier National Monument. 505-699-6230

Two Week Fandom/Half-Blood - CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE
Campers (ages 10-16) experience our unique program centered on innovation, mentorship, leadership and community-building. DIGIVATIONS Camp Demigods Demigod Institute and August Camp Half-Blood are a blend of world building through innovation, role playing and speculative fiction. These Camps are based on the principles that kids have an enormous reservoir of creativity and innovative ideas which they look forward to sharing with other like-minded individuals who hold common interests. Please register using a computer. Please do not use a tablet or smart phone when you register because the program will not work properly. The registration process takes about an hour and asks you to answer about 50 questions. The program does not allow you to save your work, so it is best to answer the questions in one sitting, electronically sign all the waivers and pay your deposit so you are fully registered. Many of the questions at the end of the application are best answered in consultation with your child: so that they express their interests, their first choices of cabin (demigod or fandom), etc. Tuition covers all meals, housing, instruction, guest lectures, ImagineSTEM blog, mentoring, supervision, materials, and recreation fees.
