Teen III 2015 - Camp Appanoose
This ten day camp begins on grounds and travels to the majestic high country of the Rocky Mountains for a conditioning phase before a five day backpacking expedition. Campers will each carry all of their and the group needs in backpacks as they transverse mountains and valleys. This camp is not for super athletes, but for the young person who is willing to resist fatigue and accept challenges which will take them to the next level and create great memories. River Runners Reunion Camp - Black Hill Visitor Center
This camp was created especially for paddlers who have completed our River Adventures Kayak Camp, or have strong river-running skills. Join us for five full days of exploring new waterways and wildlife-watching from a kayak! Space is limited for this course as students will get to tour around the facility and learn specific information and needs of our animal collection. Students will get to not only encounter animals in our behind the scenes animal room, but to assist with animal care, food prep, cleaning. The camp will get to put together an animal enclosure for one of our animals by working together as a team. Students learn to train an animal and even make an enrichment toy for our animals.
