Our martial arts class, is taught by 4 time world champion Mike Ninomiya and his lovely wife Diana Ninomiya. Both of whom have been certified to teach in Denver Public Schools in the Radiant Beginnings enrichment program. Instructors: Finan & Cusick Get ready to build, invent and reinvent in our Innovation Lab. You will learn how the art of tinkering brings STEM projects to a whole new level of fun and inspiration. Whether you are a girl or a boy, into science, art, building or being creative in any way, this is the class for you. You will look at existing inventions with an eye for how you can improve them or invent something else altogether. You will have the option of choosing from projects such as: Fuse-your-own Fabrics, Slingshot Car Launcher, Wood-Crafted Wonders, Toppling Towers, Remote Release Zip Line Alarm Clock and that is just to name a few. Beyond that, you will be the first students at your age-level to learn to to use tools in the iLab to create your own projects. Bring your imagination and be ready for an exciting week. 316-771-2289

Girls Rock SB! is an after-school music program and summer camp for girls aged 7-17. Girls learn either guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, and introducing: electric violin! They form bands, write songs together, and perform them at a local venue. They also get to experience a great selection of workshops, which include the following: Songwriting, DJing, Hip Hop Dance, Screenprinting (making their own band t-shirts), Zine-Making, Yoga, Recording/Engineering, and Martial Arts Girls Rock Santa Barbara! is an organization that empowers girls through music. Through music lessons, creative expression, workshops, group activities, and performance, girls learn self-confidence and teamwork. GRSB challenges gender stereotypes, encourages collaboration and tolerance among peers, and provides a safe and comfortable space for girls of all backgrounds to express themselves. Kitchen Kids CIT program provides the opportunity for teens to develop leadership and culinary skills. This program is ideal for high school students who love helping younger kids and being in the kitchen. Being a Kitchen Kid CIT is fun and rewarding. Special roles include assisting culinary coaches with mini lessons at the start of each day, prepping ingredients, providing support to the younger chefs, supervising clean up, creating extra recipes throughout the week, organizing the farmers market day, and leading their own small group at the end of the week.
