Volleyball Camp 6th-8th Grade - Red Morton Community Center
This camp is a great way to get ready for Fall School Volleyball! Instruction in the basic fundamentals of passing, setting, hitting and overhand serving will be stressed for all grades. Camp instructors, provided by the National Academy of Athletics, will be experienced, energetic and highly motivated. Players will have fun, while working hard in a positive environment and will leave each day a better volleyball player! Week 8: Day Camp Assistant Training (Leadership Development) - Camp Tanadoona
Day Camp Assistant (DCA) Training is the first step in Tanadoonas leadership development program. DCAs spend the first half of the week engaging in teambuilding workshops and interactive leadership training with lead camp staff. Training includes first aid, behavior management, specialty programming and basic counselor skills. DCAs immediately apply their training when they are partnered with Tanadoona Counselors to assist with Day Camp groups during the second half of the week. Staying overnight on Thursday to help with the Thursday Overnight campers provides additional experiential learning. We recommend a minimum of two years of DCA before progressing to CIT. 612-235-7284

Football - Seattle Preparatory School
The Seattle Prep Varsity football coaches will be hosting a youth football camp for rising 5th-8th grade students, July 5th-8th, 1-4pm daily. The camp will feature drill and technique work designed specifically for the young athlete to build a foundation that will lead to years of success on the gridiron. The camp will feature varsity coaches and players in a fast-paced, fun, and competitive structure that is tailored to any skill level. We will focus on the fundamental skills of stance, footwork, hand placement, shed, safety, and angles for all defensive positions. Offensively, we will cover stance, footwork, hand and head placement, blocking techniques, ball security, throwing, receiving, and explosive running back techniques. Our staffs goal is to provide each camper with a fun and exciting week of football. Most importantly, we will teach a winning attitude that will enable each camper to become the best individual and team-player they can be.
