Costumes, crafts and stories are used to help our campers create Grapevines first inaugural class of Sorcerers and Fairies. 10th 2016 Camp Buckaroo WINTER BREAK 3 Day Camp - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 3 (Three) Day Buckaroo Winter Break Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and to care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts and Horse Husbandry including some Horse Health and Welfare. Plus, making friends or renewing relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest once for no additional charge. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing + GLOVES on cold days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each day. Coach McIntosh was the 2007 & 2008 C-USA Coach of the Year and lead The University of Tulsa to the C-USA Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championships in 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2012. TU is also a perennial Top 25 team and has NCAA tournament play which includes making it to the Final 8 in 2009 for the second time in 5 years. In addition, Coach McIntosh is the winningest coach in school history.
