Video Production Camp is a hands-on educational fun summer camp experience. Filmmakers will be challenged to create a short film during their week of camp while experiencing and shooting rowing, snorkeling, exploring shipwrecks using a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), blacksmithing, hiking, and much more. This week-long program gives you the opportunity to build your filmmaking skills and knowledge from any experience level using your own camera or phone as well as our collection of GoPro cameras, DSLRs, and editing computers. Beginning Chess Club - Summit Schools
Learn the basics of chess and improve your skills and concentration. Discover the origins of this fun game while enhancing your pattern recognition and self-discipline as you practice. Create your own board and pieces as a take-home keepsake. Up to the challenge? *Please note: Students who are registered for a morning and afternoon camp within the same week are invited to stay for FREE supervised lunch and recess between 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Students should bring a sack lunch that does not require heating or cooling. Please note that lunch is not provided and students must be registered for both a morning and afternoon camp. 319-294-2036
Summer Remediation 2016 - Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School
Students who earned D or F grades in either semester of the 2015-2016 school year may be required to remediate those grades in order to move to the next course in the sequence, receive graduation units, and/or remain eligible for college admissions. SJND offers summer remediation on campus through online course providers in a supervised learning environment. Students have the option to work with academic content tutors and receive personalized attention and course management from the Summer Academics Coordinator and staff. For those who need to take a second remediation course, we strongly recommend finishing one before starting the second.
