Teen Workshop Winter Sewing Camp - Jenkintown, PA
$100, for ages 15-19. 4-6pm, Monday-Friday, Dec. 26-30. This is a project based machine sewing workshop. New to sewing or need help with a project? We teach you the basics for learning to sew and you will complete a few projects. This is also good for those familiar with a sewing machine and want to build their skills. Camp Fowler Festif - Orefield, PA
Now in its 5th year, Festif is a family fun event that combines cycling, trail running, entertainment, food, and fun. Rides range from family friendly distances to a quad burning 44 miles. All riders will have cue sheets and routes well marked. There will be rider support on each route and both the 20 and 44 mile route each have a well stocked rest stop. NEW for 2016: 5k and 10k Fox and Hound runs! Chase our "fox" around Camp Fowler during these trail runs. The 5k is both family and walker friendly and prizes will be given to anyone who is able to follow the foxes clues and catch them before the finish. Cycling or running isn't for you? Treasure Hunting with Stamps! Letterboxing! - The Evergreen School
A week of stamp making, hiking and treasure hunting. Students will create their own stamps, follow directions, and find hidden letterboxes. They will stamp in and collect stamps from each of our daily hikes. We will even make our own letterboxes, write up the clues and hide them for others to find. Students will be hiking approximately 1-3 miles daily with plenty of time for breaks, lunch, play, and treasure hunting. Children must bring a lunch, a full water bottle, and should wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. The class will be outdoors all day walking fairly easy trails. Letterboxing is a great prologue to geocaching. 206-957-1533
