Do you enjoy telling stories with pictures? Do you love looking at childrens books and picture books? If the answer is yes, then youll love Illustration Camp. In this week long camp, we will learn about the process of illustrating a story. We will discover our imaginations, learn basic techniques, and develop an understanding of designing characters. Teresa Assenzo is an Instructor of Fine Arts at Saint Marys School. Ms. Assenzo has a B.F.A from Kendall College of Art and Design, an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She has taught at Western Michigan University and has worked with children of all ages at art museums and institutes. Ms. Assenzo has also illustrated and published books for parents and children, has done free-lance writing, and has done art and writing with diverse groups of children and adults. No parent wants to hear that their child has diabetes. But when you learn that it is manageable you carry on. That doesn't mean letting them go to camp was an easy decision. But once we visited with the staff at Camp Discovery we knew our girl was going to be supervised and look after by counselors who understood the challenges of living with diabetes. Fall Retreat: Seeing the Face of Christ in the Vulnerable - Dahlonega,
Sign up for the Campus Catholic Fall Retreat: Seeing the Face of Christ in the Vulnerable! Come out and spend a weekend in the mountains full of fellowship, fun and of course JESUS!! In this group please post your name, t-shirt size, and if you are able to provide transportation, and if so how many people you can drive. The retreat will be held at Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, GA. Plan on meeting at Sacred Heart at 3:15 so we can get everyone situated in cars, but we plan on leaving at 3:30 from Sacred Heart in order to arrive at Hidden Lake around 6:30. Dinner will be provided Friday night, and all meals up until Sunday breakfast will be provided. The cost of the retreat is $20 for Georgia College students and $40 for non-Georgia College students, but if you are unable to pay just talk to Deacon and we will find a way for you to be able to go. Join 2013 and 2014 State Champion coach Shawn Reid and Blake players for hours of skill development and fun. There will be 90 minutes of ice time each session followed by dryland training. In addition to hockey equipment, campers will need to bring tennis shoes. This camp is for players with hockey experience. 952-988-3463

Play and learn while creating art exploring the world of literature and fine arts. In this class students will be inspired by popular childrens books to create unique works of art. This class will discover the connection between picture books and dialogue. 703-444-5888

In this scrumptious class, kids will tantalize their taste buds and have fun with food! Different recipes each week! Learn the math of measuring, nutrition, dining etiquette, and cooperation skills. 818-591-6597

Junior Flyers offers younger campers an opportunity to experience Dayton basketball first hand. This one-day camp allows youngsters a preview of the Dayton Day Camp experience. Focusing on the fundamentals of basketball and having fun, this camp hopes to create a passion to play in young players. Staffed exclusively by the UD coaching staff and select players. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon each session. If a camper signs up for multiple sessions, the additional sessions will be discounted, but only one T-shirt will be distributed per camper 937-229-4421
