For Boys and Girls Ages 4-12 years old 12:30 PM - 4:00PM This program offers children a chance to participate in many different sports such as basketball, soccer, floor hockey, volleyball, and other physical education type activities. Mandarin - Little Dragons (Level 1) - Germantown Friends School
The objective of this club is to initiate what we hope will be a lifelong interest in a culture that is becoming an increasingly important player on the world stage. The program follows the My First Chinese Words curriculum, which offers an introduction to such key vocabulary as numbers, colors, body parts and animal names. Students will read supplementary Chinese storybooks, watch DVDs about Martial Arts and create arts and crafts related to Chinese holidays and traditions. Our bilingual, bicultural instructor, Wei Chen, is deeply committed to teaching Mandarin to children and to igniting their curiosity about foreign cultures. Tracey Bartholomew is once again offering a high-level College ID Camps held at Columbia University in the City of New York. College ID camps are open to girls entering grades 9 - 12. This College ID Camp is a collegiate showcase and competitive training program for players who plan to play at the college level. Staffed by the Columbia Womens Soccer program, and various other high academic programs ranging from Div 1 to Div 3, this camp is multi-faceted in that it gives top players: 1) the opportunity to be seen by top college coaches; 2) a better understanding of the college soccer environment ; and, 3) the skills they need to become even better players, taught by some of the very best coaches of the game. 845-548-7621
