Awakening is a Catholic retreat put on by young adults for young adults. This overnight retreat runs from Friday night through Sunday afternoon ending with Sunday Mass. The retreat is designed to awaken your faith, bring you fellowship, and to strengthen your relationship with God during your young adult life. We accept retreaters of any faith/belief in and out of college from ages 18-26. Even though this is a Catholic retreat, you do NOT have to be Catholic to attend. CC: Sports Extravaganza June 6 - June 10 - Parks and Rec Office and Cavins Community Center
All activities this week will revolve around sports. We will allow the children to select several sport related activities to participate in each day. These events can be anything from soccer,baseball/softball, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, cheerleading and other miscellaneous sports. We hope to provide campers with the opportunity to play various sports or sports related activities throughout the week. String Orchestras Day Camper - Roanoke Symphony Orchestra
Students will participate in all musical and recreational activities from 8:45-5:00 p.m. Lunch is provided, but families are responsible for students breakfast and dinner. Drop off and pick up will occur in a designated location each day. Location is TBD 540-343-6221 x231

Week 4 (Ages 8-13) - Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center
Full Day Enrollment - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Morning Only (9:00am-Noon) Disney Mania – Campers will work with their favorite Disney songs and characters to learn the fundamentals of singing and dancing! Build confidence and coordination to the tunes of Frozen, Tangled, The Lion King, and more! Afternoon Only (1:00 - 4:00 pm) Behind the Curtains of The Sky is Falling- The art of Stage Craft will take over the next week on Second St. This week we will be working closely with the cast of The Sky is Falling to prepare their costumes and set for the show on July 22 and 23. Campers will learn how to design a set and then build it! Students must bring their own lunch. 910-341-7860
Adventure Camp - Week 3 (4 Days Only) - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp (ages 8-12 by first day of camp session). This week, Camp runs for 4 days only (Tuesday to Friday) Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program.
