When the water gets low the Black is the place to be. Great playboating at Hole Brothers, and a great river running all weekend. Boaters of all skill levels are welcome. Friday: Evening: Sunset surf session at Hole Brothers. Drinks and food at Maggie's on the River. Saturday: Morning surf session followed by a river run Freestyle clinics will be available. Camp Collegiate Session 8 3rd-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hawley Session 8: Crime Busters Camp. Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, and All-Star Adventures. Kids often say that great memories are made in this camp and its one of the best parts of their summer! Each day at camp begins at 9:00 AM with a game of Capture the Flag and ends at 3:00 PM with a fun closing activity where the Happy Camper for the day is announced. We strongly encourage all who intend to participate in football in the fall, attend this camp. Although the camp is a total of 25 days, we will only practice a total of 11 times. This allows for us to work around graduation, finals, and provide rest between practice days. This camp will provide our first opportunity for our new coaching staff to begin developing relationships with our players, teach philosophy and leadership skills, as well as install basic offensive, defensive, and special teams schemes that we will use in the fall. The all skills camp covers all aspects of the game of volleyball with an emphasis on fundamentals. The techniques and skills taught in this camp are designed to provide a strong foundation that allows players to develop into high level athletes as they continue to play. All skills will be covered including passing, setting, hitting, defense, blocking, serving as well as offensive and defensive systems. Every registration requires full payment. A $50 fee will be retained on all cancellations for any reason to cover credit card fees and administrative expenses. The remaining amount will be credited back to ones account if paid by credit card. If paid by check, the University will cut a check back to the original payee. For prompt processing, refund requests should be made prior to the start of camp. A pro-rated fee system will be in effect for those campers only attending partial days of camp.
