This 68 year old camp is designed for children from 2nd grade to 11th grade. The camp has a strong Jewish heritage which influences the activities they offer. My 12 year old son enjoys the friendly staff and the fun activities. He has grown in confidence while discovering who he is in relation to the community at large. ELEMENTS OF ART (2 Hours) TUES 4:30-6:30 - Loudoun Arts Center
Students will be introduced to specific drawing fundamentals and techniques including line drawing, value, shape, pattern, texture, shading, perspective and composition. This class will introduce different perspectives inspired from nature, still-life, photographs and the students own imagination. Students will explore among different mediums such as graphite, ink, charcoal, chalk graphic markers, conté crayons, colored pencils, and much more. 703-444-5888
Floor Hockey Camp - Main Street Recreation Center
Check out a one-of-a-kind indoor game that involves the fast pace of real hockey but on a solid surface. During this camp, participants will learn the offensive and defensive fundamentals and mechanics of floor hockey. This camp will include stick handling, passing, shooting and goalie techniques as well as team drills. Participants will also develop endurance, coordination and speed through fast and fun floor hockey games played each day of camp. Each participant should bring a water bottle. Cedar Run also provides a weekly drop-in day camp for the commitment-challenged campers. This classic day camp is chock full of camp activities including nature education, animal encounters, art, games and enjoying the outdoors. This camp is available on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM to children ages 6-10. If your child (or you) are hesitant about the idea of summer camp or just have one day to spend with us this summer, this is a perfect way to get a taste! Pricing is $50/per child, per day. This LEGO experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Campers will have a blast, even without prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO.
