Maple sugaring: February and March are sugaring season in Connecticut! The sap flows strongly on sunny mornings when it is just above freezing. Hopefully we will catch a sap run and taste some sap right from the tree! We will check out the Sugar Shack and see where the sap is boiled into syrup, make and eat some maple treats, and explore the forest for signs of spring. ********************************************************** Who: these classes are for children of all ages with a parent or caregiver (no drop-off option available for winter classes). Program fee: $15 for the first child ages 3 and up, $10 for each additional child (ages 3 and up). The sibling discount will be applied automatically when you register online. Girls entering Grade 6 in Fall 2016 - Huddart Park
Campers entering grade 6 are grouped in units with girls of their own age/grade and are supervised by trained staff members and program aides. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including earning badges, hiking, outdoor cooking, learning outdoor skills, crafts, games, singing and more. Girls entering grade 6 in Fall 2016 will be going horseback riding one day during the first week of camp (additional waiver form required for this activity). Girls are will spend the night at camp on Wednesday, July 27th with their unit.
