I sent I child here last summer and she had a horrible summer! She told me horrible things! When I called the place the complain, the phone was not even working. They have the worst customer service ever. My daughter said they were also hungry and was never fed enough. She was bullied at the camp and said no adult did anything about it. Spring Break Chess Camp - Frankfort Park District
Checkmate Champions is the future of chess teaching. This chess camp combines the Classical strategies of chess with new innovative modern technology that creates a very FUN-damental experience for all kids regardless of their chess playing abilities. Checkmate Champions is more than a chess camp, it?s a chess experience. While in the class, students will learn not only how to play chess but they will learn the rules, history, and also how to record their games so that they can reflect on them at a later date. Students will have the chance to play their favorite chess variation games such as Bughouse (team chess), Allies, Bobby Fischer chess and IPad chess to name a few. After all the fun and games, the kids will have the opportunity to participate in a real life class chess tournament. They will play against different opponents and get practice using an actual tournament clock. Check In & Late Registration: 7-8 AM, March 6 at Roadrunner Field Session Hours: Monday, 8 AM - 4 PM, Tuesday, 8 AM - 12:00 PM Campers need to bring a sack lunch on Monday. Camp is situated in the calender to help youth age players get back in the flow of playing baseball and to get ready for the spring season. Camp will consist of hitting, throwing, fielding, bunting, and baserunning. Cost includes: T-Shirt and camp tuition, Plus 1 ticket to UTSA vs. Texas State Baseball game on Tuesday, March 15, 6:00 PM at Roadrunner Field 210-458-4811

Neighborhood Park Camp at La Pintoresca Park is a traditional, high-quality camp that is fun and affordable. Activities include arts and crafts, physical fitness games and challenges, dance, visits to the library, enrichment activities and swimming. Campers play basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball. Instruction is also offered in golf and tennis. Campers are escorted to Robinson Park Recreation Centers swimming pool for recreational swim two times per week. Staff go into the water with the campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Fun field trips are often the highlight of the week. Trips are an additional charge and are scheduled for once a week. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like sports and group activities. The ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Campers are grouped by age, and lunch and a snack are provided. Camp culminates in the annual ?War Games? in which Washington Park Camp and La Pintoresca Park Camps compete in a series of challenges to determine an annual camp champion. Campers are asked to wear sturdy, closed-toe athletic shoes, sunscreen and hats. On swimming days, campers are asked to bring sandals for the pool area and swimming suits. ...

Campers will get to experience using a pottery wheel on the last day of camp. Materials: A separate fee of $25 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp for art materials, clay, glazes and kiln supplies. Campers should bring a snack and water each day.
