Dad, Dude & Kid Camping & Trip - Spring Grove, VA
Attention dads, dudes and kids. Announcing our 3rd annual camping trip at Chanco on the James Retreat Center. Chanco is a beautiful place right on the James river, 1 1/2 hours from here. This year we will be adding a mini-service project to do together on Saturday morning at the retreat center. Lodging $5 per person, per night (kids under 4 are free) Food $20 per adult. KidFit Summer Camps - 2016 - San Clemente, CA
KidFit is smart fitness for kids ages 8-13! Kids learn skills that instill proper functional movement patterns applicable to ANY sport or activity. We teach kids how to maintain proper body balance, strength, and mobility, all in a FUN environment! Each day includes a skill practice, team building exercises, body rolling, experiential anatomy, and injury preventions techniques. We also teach kids how to fuel our bodies for optimal health and performance. This program is developed by coaches who are also parents...we care about your kids health and fitness! 3-two week sessions are available. Kid's Beginner Sewing & Art Camp with Sandy Gillespie! - Melbourne, FL
KID'S BEGINNER SEWING ART CAMP June 15 - 17 @10am - 2pm Ages: 12-16 This is not just an ordinary "learn to sew" camp. Our students will design and create their own fabric using surface design techniques. They will learn how to use a sewing machine and also, basic sewing skills. With their new found skills they will sew a super cool backpack and pillowcase. Lots of paint, screens and unique personal designs will abound. The students will have fun experimenting with stamps, screens and printmaking to create their fabric art! We encourage our students to be Fearless and unique!!! All supplies included. Taught by Sandy Gillespie: Fiber Artist, Baker and Crafter We have sewing machines, but it's best for your child to learn on their own machine if you have one...otherwise, no worries! Although photography is the worlds newest art form, as a concept it was known by Aristotle. In this brief course we will review the evolution of photography from its beginnings to the digital cameras of today. Along the way, youll be introduced to some of the most influential individuals who played an important role leading to the creation of modern photography. We will discuss how painting influenced photography and how photography influenced painting. In just three sessions, well have a chance to see the oldest surviving photographs, Daguerreotypes, Silver Nitrate prints, early color photographs, modern pixel- based images and much more.
