Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Countrys Art Scene. Well visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. Well stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.Traveling Art Camp Austin Well head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Youth Office is once again holding its 5th annual "KID'S FOR CAMP 3D BOW SHOOT" on June 11-12 beginning 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. each day. Whether you're an avid archer or just a beginner, this beautiful course set with 30 big and small game targets, in the hills and valleys of God’s country will challenge your archery skills while having fun with your hunting buddies and family members. The 3D shoot will take place at “Arrows in the Square Pro Archery Store” located on Casberg Coulee Rd near Holmen WI. 54636. Besides the 3D shoot, we will have food available on the grounds for purchase, novelty games to win tickets for door prizes, beginner archery lessons and so much more. Bold Expressive Painting - Episcopal Day School
In this class, young artists will learn new painting techniques as they create mixed media still lives, florals, and landscapes. As the weather warms up, children will be finding inspiration in nature and creating inspiration boards as they embark on these new projects. Teen Adventure Camp - Sequoia Highlands
Teen Adventure Camp starts at 9 a.m. on June 27 at Sequoia Highlands, which is a large camp built around 1970. There is a large kitchen and dining room and a big recreation room with pool tables, pingpong and darts as well as other activities. The accommodations are in long dorms with army cot bunks, one dorm for girls, one for boys. The view of the valley is spectacular, and the charm of this camp is that it is rustic, has lots of room and is close to Kings Canyon National Park. We take trips on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to lakes, rivers, caves and mountains up in the parks, hiking & swimming & exploring the area. We will also learn about the ecology of the area and how climate change is affecting the Parks and the central valley. While at camp we will tie-dye our camp shirts, create our own videos, fish if the pond is full, and simply hang out and enjoy each others company. Campfires are planned for the evenings after dinner.
