Homeschool Classes - Peninsula Fine Arts Center
PFAC is proud to offer classes for homeschoolers. These classes are for students ages 5-12 and are taught by Valerie Whiteman. Parents and younger siblings are welcome to explore our Hands On For Kids Area. Holistic Hoops Playground Legends Basketball Camp - Marine Park Sports Facilities
Lace up your shoes and get ready to learn the game of basketball from a completely new perspective. Coach David Snedeker has played in the Final Four and professionally. He has created the much-heralded Holistic Hoops training system. Recent players that have learned this system have gone on to excel in junior high and high school varsity teams. Campers will be divided by age and skill level. Its time to make our cell phone photos stand out from the billions of photos recorded every day! As we stomp around the beautiful parkland surrounding Old Trail, campers will learn how to use a few standard photographic techniques to improve their photo taking. Then, in class, we will learn how to download and improve our images and make them rock. Well be inside, well be outside, wherever photos lurk, we will be searching for them. In the process, we will learn how to see in a new light. Campers should bring a cell phone camera, a USB cord to download photos to a computer and a CD or jump drive to store finished photos. Geocaching PM: "Cache Bearing Treasure" June 22 - Pond Site
Geocaching is a popular high tech scavenger hunt game using Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates to lead you to buried ‘caches or treasures. During this thrilling hunt, teams of campers will use satellite provided bearings as clues, a GPS device, problem-solving skills and navigational know-how to find hidden treasures along the Little Miami River.
