Where Will My Child Sleep at Summer Camp?
Different camps have different types of accommodations. Some groups have kids sleeping in well-ventilated cabins whereas others have air-conditioned dorm rooms. Bathrooms could be in cabin or in a nearby wash house. There are also programs that have youth sleeping in tents outside. An organization’s mission often dictates the sleeping arrangements. For example, a 4-H or Girl Scout group may want campers to be outdoors to learn important survival skills whereas an academic camp may want youth inside so they can focus on their work.

3 days 2 nights of fun filled horse chaos. Cooking out over fires, learning to care for our horses as well as working on our horsemanship skills in all disciplines of riding. As well as working on social skills, public speaking, and accountability. A good time is always had by all. So bring a tent (if you don't have one let us know), warm blankets, a pillow, and warm clothes, and join in on the experience.

SPRING BREAK is here!! Give your kids something to talk about when they go back to school. Bring them in to the Academy of Aerial Fitness and have them experience AERIAL ARTS! The kids will learn silks, hoop, hammock, balance, calisthenics, yoga, and PARKOUR! Keep your kids active and having fun during their long school break!! You can sign them up and pay over the phone or come in Monday morning and sign up when you drop them off!

Learn the basics of chess and improve your skills and concentration. Discover the origins of this fun game while enhancing your pattern recognition and self-discipline as you practice. Create your own board and pieces as a take-home keepsake. Up to the challenge? *Please note: Students who are registered for a morning and afternoon camp within the same week are invited to stay for FREE supervised lunch and recess between 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Students should bring a sack lunch that does not require heating or cooling. Please note that lunch is not provided and students must be registered for both a morning and afternoon camp. 319-294-2036
Growing Scientists: Animal Adventures - CuriOdyssey
Growing Scientists: Animal Adventures Why are some animals furry and others feathered? How does a snail move? What does an owl eat? Have an up close and personal encounter with some of the animals at CuriOdyssey and learn about their amazing adaptations such as how they eat, where they sleep, and where to find them in nature. Go on an adventure to find tiny creatures living around Coyote Point Recreation Area. The world of animals will be revealed in this wild and wooly, slippery and scaly camp! Growing Scientists must be at least 3 years old by June 1, 2016, potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently. This soccer camp focuses on improving players through fun, dedicated games and activities. Players will be actively engaged the entire time they are attending the camp. Character education is also an important part of the camp. All camps are for boys and girls. Players will be grouped by age and ability. *Each child must bring appropriate shoes for the field and for the gym, a water bottle with his/her name on it, and an appropriately sized ball. 845-649-3077

Students will learn to create human, animal or monster sculptures with papier mache. They will start by creating an armature from wire and newspaper. They will learn the best types of glues and to keep the mess to a minimum and speed drying times. We will use colored and painted papers for the final layer. In the last session, details will be added with a wide range of craft materials. The will learn how to create impressive sculptures that can be adapted for a range of school projects. Youth Summer Camp will consist of Lectures on Hitting, Infield Play, Outfield Play, Bunting, and Baserunning. Pitching & Catching will be covered in the afternoon sessions only. Campers will get to experience Extended Bag games at the end of each session against kids in their age range and will compte in the Roadrunner Olympics on the final morning of camp.
