AAC Summer Theatre Camp 2016 in partnership - Jasper, AL
This summer program will introduce students ranging from rising third graders to high school seniors to all aspects of the creative and technical sides of musical theatre production. From the audition to the final curtain, students will not only star in the production, they will also learn what it takes to put on a show. The program will include instruction in acting, voice, dance, set, costume, sound and lighting design and more. The camp meets Monday – Thursday each week from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00am – noon. OUTDOOR YOUTH DAY - West Palm Beach, FL
Outdoor Youth Day is February 4,2017 at the Everglades Youth Camp 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be the Florida Sportsmens Conservation Association 14th Annual Outdoor Youth Day Event and It’s FSCA bigiest day of the year. This event has buggy rides, airboat rides, pony rides, and canoeing, archery, gun range instruction, fishing and wildlife shows to reach kids of all ages and show them the benefits of being outdoors instead of in front of a TV. This annual event had over 1,000 participants that came last year and over 100 volunteers that worked the whole day. Please call Caroll at 561 795-1375 for more information.

Tri-It: Youth Camp & Triathlon - Jeffersonville, IN
Kids ages 5-14 will receive instruction in swimming, cycling, running, nutrition and hydration. After a week of preparation, kids will put their skills to the test in a short distance triathlon. LIGHT TO DARK: DARKROOM EXPLORATION - Walker-MacKenzie Studio - Gertrude Herbert
Instructor: Rosanne Stutts The technical aspects of black-and-white photography will be emphasized so that students can work more creatively with their camera and in the darkroom. Camera operations, use of equipment such as lenses, tripod, and light meter, and correct film selection are among the topics to be covered. Learn basic density and contrast controls for both negatives and prints, along with proper film development. Basic darkroom procedures, safety, printmaking techniques, burning and dodging, toning, archival processing and print presentation will also be discussed. Please bring your own 35-mm camera with manual controls. Taught by Ms. Hasanthi, this class is for students who are from 3 1/2 to 7 years of age. Classes offer young children exposure to Verity of art medians to help develop their fine motor skills. The art class develops the childs ability to create independent drawings on their own, which enables children to participate in international and local art competitions. They will develop strength of mind and an ordered intellect and will be able to think for themselves. Students use pastels, acrylic and tempera paints to create their art work. CAMP DETAILS Musical Theater: Featuring Songs from The Lion King Disneys Broadway musical, The Lion King, is one of the biggest and most beloved theater shows of all time. And theres no question why. Join us as we not only sing and dance through songs like I Just Cant Wait to Be King and Hakuna Matata, but we will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively to bring Pride Rock to life! Campers will work with professional teaching artist to find creative ways to capture the essence of these animals and characters through puppet making, costume building and other elements of design. An informal performance will culminate this ensemble-building experience. Children spending the full day with us should bring a sack lunch for our lunch break at the park Seussical Jr Week Everyone is invited on our Seussical adventure this summer!
