The objective of this club is to initiate what we hope will be a lifelong interest in a culture that is becoming an increasingly important player on the world stage. The program follows the My First Chinese Words curriculum, which offers an introduction to such key vocabulary as numbers, colors, body parts and animal names. Students will read supplementary Chinese storybooks, watch DVDs about Martial Arts and create arts and crafts related to Chinese holidays and traditions. Our bilingual, bicultural instructor, Wei Chen, is deeply committed to teaching Mandarin to children and to igniting their curiosity about foreign cultures. Final Summer 2016 Kid's Riding Camp - Georgetown, TX
Sign up now for our last riding camp of the summer for children ages 3 - 18. Camps are half days, and kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen and enclosed outdoor arena. Kid's are outside getting exercise in the sunshine and fresh air, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence. What could be better? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, horseman and natural horsemanship clinician with 35+years experience as a professional horse and people trainer, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equpment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Siblings may share helmets as needed. This is an opportunity for junior high school soccer players to experience the life of a Division 1 soccer player. Campers will be given the opportunity to train with Division 1 athletes and coaches. They will be put through a typical pre-season training camp that collegiate athletes experience at the beginning of every season. Campers will be sleeping in the collegiate dorms under the supervision of the camp directors, camp coaches and current Cal State Fullerton women soccer players. They will eat in the cafeteria, train twice or three times daily and be provided official Fullerton Soccer training gear. They will eat, sleep, and play soccer for 4 days straight!
