Summer Camp Music Festival - Chillicothe, IL
We are happy to announce we will be teaming up with Summer Camp Music Festival to host an ‘Art That Feeds’ Food Drive in Chillicothe, Illinois from May 22-24, 2015. All food donations will benefit the East Peoria Area Food Bank in Peoria, Illinois. One of our very talented artist is creating a Summer Camp event poster, which will be FREE to patrons who donate 20 non-perishable food items or a suggested monetary donation. Food donations will be collected at the Conscious Alliance ‘Art That Feeds’ Gallery, which will be depicted on the Summer Camp Festival guide and map. Conscious Alliance always encourages food donations to be low-sodium and health oriented products. ORGANIC food donations are especially encouraged. RAMEN NOODLES will NOT be accepted for the free poster. Thank you for your continued support in feeding the hungry everywhere the music plays!

Chicago Bulls Ball Handling (9-14yrs) Riverside - Bulls/Sox Academy - Offsite
Ball Handling camp is designed to teach players to handle the basketball with control and confidence. Players learn ball handling and dribbling techniques such as crossover, between the legs, behind the back and reverse pivot. Natural History - Week 2 - Natural History
Can you tell a bird from its call? Identify a mammal from its prints in the mud? Ever wonder where flying squirrels live? How to catch a snake or a bullfrog? Come join us as we adventure through creeks, marshes, forests, and the many natural places of beauty we have to explore on The Heights campus and all around the metropolitan area. The various ingredients of this camp make for a fantastic summer experience. From the personal attention and fun atmosphere of learning, to the outdoor adventures and games, this is an experience hard to beat or imitate. Activities: short classes, nature walks, daily journal, creek exploration, games, field and fishing trips, and specimen collection. Session I will focus on mammals, reptiles, and birds. Session II will focus on insects and trees. Staff Anton Vorozhko teaches 6th grade homeroom in the middle school. Teachers will focus on strengthening the students technique and improving technical skill. Once students are equipped with the appropriate skills, they will feel confident in transforming their ideas and personal style into tangible art pieces. Class Objective: Students will be provided tools to transform their concept sketches into fully fleshed out artistic creations. Serving underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who have talent and interest in mathematics and science is a high priority of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. We believe that we must actively recruit from all regions of the state of Illinois. The Integrated Science Program is a competitive application program, for students who have completed 8th grade and 1 year of pre-algebra and who are interested in application to IMSAs Residential High School Program. Freshwater can be the limiting factor for land animals and plants living on a barrier island. Sanibel is blessed with a natural supply of surface fresh water. We learn about Sanibels freshwater habitats and how they affect the local flora and fauna. In addition, we study one of the wetlands most notorious inhabitants, the American Alligator.
