In this class you are introduced to all the fundamental skills of improvising, while improving your ability to listen and explore the power of building off of other peoples ideas. Level 1 is a survey of the entire program, exposing you to the elements of scene work and the various skills involved in creating well-acted, comedic improvisation. Passing Criteria: Students must demonstrate that their listening has improved over the course of the term and that they are willing to build off of their partners ideas, in addition to having gained some proficiency with the technical aspects of actually doing so on stage. Long Tail Knits will be hosting a summer camp for students looking to learn to knit or crochet. This will be held at the store June 13 through June 17 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. You will learn the basics in knit/crochet. Your choice. The cost of the camp will be $25.00 per day or $125.00 for the week. If you pay for the entire week ahead of time, you will receive a 10% discount. This does not include the cost of materials. We will be offering beginner patterns for those who are just starting out and for those who have some of the basics down, we will have intermediate beginner projects for learning other techniques and stitches. Recommended age is 10 and up. If you have any questions, please let me know by posting in the comments and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Are you a math whiz who just cant get enough? Then this camp is for you! Well determine your understanding of math and challenge you to keep growing during the summer break. This camp is appropriate for students who are average or above in math but desire to stay engaged over the summer and have fun too! Two separate classes are offered: 1st - 3rd Grade & 4th-6th Grade *Please note: Students who are registered for a morning and afternoon camp within the same week are invited to stay for FREE supervised lunch and recess between 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Session One - Beals Point Beach State Park
The Folsom Lake SRA Junior Lifeguard Program trains children ages 8-16 years of age in aquatic safety, while providing them with an interactive and well rounded outdoor education. Each participant is given instruction and hands on training in CPR/1st Aid and Aquatic Rescue techniques/equipment. Educational trips include a river-rafting trip, bicycle tour of the American River bike trail, and ocean orientation during the Santa Cruz camping trip. **Please keep in mind that one uniform T-shirt and a JG rashguard are included in the tuition price. If you wish to purchase more uniform items, you may do so on this same registration site. Features a Bay sailing adventure! Gain your sea legs this week as you learn about the wonders of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. Hike out to the Point Bonita Lighthouse to see the power of the Pacific and the only lighthouse in the U.S. accessed by a suspension bridge. Step back in time and discover how the Coast Miwok people relied on the ocean and bay. Midweek, youll sail aboard the schooner Seaward to observe marine mammals, learn about maritime navigation, and identify plankton under microscopes.
