Renaissance is excited to provide an exciting, hands-on experience to teach students the basics of computer programming. The camp is available for rising 2rd graders-rising 6th graders. Students create their own games, learning modules, animations or interactivities using a programming language developed by the M.I.T. Media Lab. Elementary Beginning Scratch PLUS Legos: Fun With Programming Do you have a camper who is passionate about technology? Has your camper always loved building and working with Legos? Now, your camper can experience the best of both worlds in a new camp. In this class, campers will build with Legos but also learn how to use the program Scratch to make characters called Sprites dance, walk, talk, and interact with other Sprites on laptops. Scratch makes it easy for students to become a program designer and write top-notch programs that feature animations, stories and simulations. Its the easiest most exciting way to become a 21st century programmer! This is a weeklong camp combined with Lego building, which uses both a fun programming and building environment. ORBC Youth Camp Fundraising Garage Sale - San Antonio, TX
ORBC Youth will be holding a Garage Sale in the Shockley Family Life Center on Saturday, March 5th. Please consider donating items, we all have that pile of stuff that we are ready to donate after our spring cleaning and then let's go SHOPPING at this important event for our youth! Please share with your friends, who doesn't like to garage sale?!?! If you need your donation items picked up please contact our Youth Minister, Ben Miller, for those details. Items can be brought to the gym as early as January 23rd.

Youth Leadership Summit 2.0
Held in Ashland, Nebraska at Carol Joy Holling Camp and Retreat Center, this event will gather youth from across the ELCA for intentional leadership development and faith formation. Our guests include Presiding Bishop Eaton, Kevin Strickland, Assistant to the Presiding Bishop/Executive for Worship, Stephen Bouman, Executive Director for Congregational and Synodical Missions of the ELCA, and several other wonderful speakers and teachers. Our featured presenter is Lyle Griner who will be coaching us on Peer Ministry. Each synod will select two youth to participate and send one adult to accompany them on the journey. Registration will be covered by a special grant. Your only responsibilities will be travel and being open to what God has in store for you through this event. Registration closes on October 1, 2015.

Pathfinders - Bluff Lake Nature Center
Pathfinders will engage their adventurous spirits as they learn outdoor skills and exciting ways to thrive in nature. Campers will immerse themselves in the natural world as they discover shelter building, map-making, plant identification and animal tracking. Daily storytelling and hiking will be sure to keep everyone active and engaged. With their own survival kit in hand, every camper will be eager to share their new knowledge of and appreciation for the outdoors. All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time. Master Chef, Jr. July 5th-July 8th - Villa Academy
Taught by Villas own Chef Rick, sharpen your culinary chops two ways this summer - each day will include an interactive meal-making session AND a daily in-class competition using one of our featured courses, with the recipe winners selected by your peers. Taught by Rick Richards, everyone is a winner with a take-home dinner for four! We will focus on kid-favorite dishes that the whole family can enjoy, prepare them fresh daily, and send them home with easy serving instructions and recipes for at-home repeats.
