Designed for high school students, Clarinet Camp covers topics from clarinet assembly and reed care to history and repertoire. Students will be placed in small ensembles to play clarinet-only repertoire which will be featured in a final performance at the end of the week for family and friends. During small ensemble rehearsals and classes, well discuss clarinet specific topics including: how the reeds/mouthpieces/ligatures we choose affect our performance, various styles of clarinet playing, the acoustics and history of the instrument and emergency repair. Ever wanted to learn how to make 3D games? Join us in this unique class that will show you how to build an awesome platformer using a free game design program! First students will create all of their game assets in Blender, an animation and modeling program. These assets will then be imported into Unity, a free development tool and game engine. Students will learn the basics of game development & level design and how to use Unity to build a game from the ground up.
