Spiritual Emphasis: Our counselors take every opportunity to minister to the campers spiritual needs through Bible study and personal interaction. We seek to integrate a biblical worldview in all our time we spend together. We understand this is a great opportunity not only to ell the campers about Gods Word, but also to show them how it is related to everyday life. Paul said it well when he wrote, "For me to live is Christ." That is what we model here for our campers. Social Emphasis: We also understand the importance of your child meeting and learning to work together with other children and adults. We will help them learn positive ways to make friends and guide them in being friends to others. Teamwork will also be taught through various games and activities. Physical Emphasis: No couch potatoes here! We dont want our campers to just hang out and waste their day so we work at keeping them going. Whether its a day trip to Six Flags, making human ice cream sundaes, a rousing game of kickball, or a walk to the local park, there is never a dull moment at Cornerstone! This is a NON-CONTACT sports camp. Each camper will receive positive individual instruction on the game of football. Local 2016 area college football signees along with former Arkansas Razorbacks Clint Stoerner, Tommy Harris, and Matt Harris will be in attendance. Ouachita Baptist University All-American Brent Calhoun, Waymon Johnson, and Dallas Cowboy great Cliff Harris will encourage youth players to work their hardest at the camp. High school athletes, coaches and football staff will work at the camp in order to provide each camper with quality instruction. Each camp session will also deal with the teaching and discussion of character issues such as honesty and sportsmanship. Each camper will get a chance to earn awards at the end of camp day. This is a great opportunity for local young boys and girls to have a great time in a fun camp. Don’t worry parents. There will plenty of water provided… The cost of the camp is $40 per camper. The camp tuition includes all camp activities, a camp T-shirt, hydration station, and lunch. Concession stand will be provided and parents are invited to stay and watch! Odyssey Teen Camp get together in Central Park, Sunday, December 4th from about 12:00-3:00! .... This feels like a really good time to connect with old and new friends and just be together for a few hours. I know many of you live too far to get to NYC for a few hours, but you will be there in spirit. We are going to meet in Central Park at a place called Arthur Ross Pinetum. It's kind of a playground, and small field, that is fenced. It's on the West side of the Park, near 84th Street and Central Park West. It will probably be chilly, so dress nice and warm. It won't be a big deal, we will hang out , eat donuts and pizza, and other healthy food options.
