Join Ojibwe artist Jim Denomie for this workshop focused on painting, satire, and snacks! Learn how Denomie creates visual puns in his brightly-colored paintings, and create your own mixed media piece using acrylic paint and collage. Teen Dance Camp! - Santa Clarita, CA
This camp is for students who are starting 7th grade through college age. Camp is 10am-2pm daily. Morning workshops include master classes with local instructors. JV/V (10-12 grades) Summer Football Camp - Seattle Preparatory School
The Seattle Prep, Varsity Football coaching staff is hosting an 11 day football camp for all returning JV or Varsity players, as well as any 10th-12th grade students interested in joining our football family. We strongly encourage all who intend to participate in football in the fall, attend this camp. Although the camp is a total of 25 days, we will only practice a total of 11 times. This allows for us to work around graduation, finals, and provide rest between practice days. This camp will provide our first opportunity for our new coaching staff to begin developing relationships with our players, teach philosophy and leadership skills, as well as install basic offensive, defensive, and special teams schemes that we will use in the fall. Our Musical Theatre Intensive workshops are fast-paced 5-day programs that are designed to give students intensive experience as a lead or supporting role in a staged musical production. The staged production (Day 4 of the program) consists of acting, singing and dancing with a script and score, costumes, props, lighting & sound. The musical to be performed is FAME the Musical! Set in the 80s and based on the real NYC Performing Arts high school, FAME tells the story of a group of performing arts students and their journey at PA. Tournament and Belt Test - Important information - St. Marks Catholic School
Tournament start times 10:00 a.m. White, Gold, Green belt check-in 9:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Purple, Blue, Red, Brown belt check-in 12:00 p.m. Event timing example The White belts would be assigned a ring for testing. Green belts in another ring for sparring competition and the Gold belts would do Form competition in a third ring. When the events are done (approximately 20-30 minutes) they will rotate to another event. All awards will be done at ringside. Form Competition This is where students compete against one another by doing a form in front of a panel of Judges for points (weve been practicing in class). Form divisions are set by belt level. Judges look for intensity, Focus, strength, technique and attitude. The competitor with the most points wins 1st place etc. Tournament Champions There will be a Lower belt Champion (green belt and below) and an Upper belt Champion (purple and above). The competitors who win first place in both form and sparring events will be eligible for this event.
