Discover skills of the ancient scout, nearly lost to history, if it weren’t for a handful of people who kept these practices alive. We’re a staff who has studied under scouts only once removed from the likes of Baden-Powell and Geronimo. A scout must live in honor, balance and harmony with the earth in order to blend with nature and move over any terrain like a shadow. There’s also an aspect of martial arts in this camp, using tricks of mind-over-matter to help us accomplish feats that seem impossible. Last year, thanks to the generous support of the community of Calumet, all campers who wanted to attend camp were given the gift to go. We have over 50 campers expressing interest this year from 1st Grade - Senior High, and from various faith families. Girls entering Grade 4 in Fall 2016 - Huddart Park
Campers entering grade 4 are grouped in units with girls of their own age/grade and are supervised by trained staff members and program aides. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including earning badges, hiking, outdoor cooking, learning outdoor skills, crafts, games, singing and more. Girls entering grade 4 in Fall 2016 will spend the night on Wednesday, July 27. If you wish to opt out of this overnight, please check the box in the registration form. 650-308-8438
Space Engineer - Schenectady County Community College
Camp Space Engineer is a LEGO building and robotics camp designed for campers ages 6-8. Activities and experiments explore space with an emphasis on collaborating with the International Space Station astronauts. During each activity campers will be using LEGO components to build a variety of space vehicles and simple machines and robots. They will also work to build and launch two ESTES rockets. Each day has four Science Labs, which allow campers to build and participate in the LEGO activities. The day starts with a science demonstration with the rest of the camp, which highlights a science principle. Activity duration times are intended to serve as guidelines, but times may vary depending on the size of your group and the abilities of the campers in your group. 5184799888.0

What to Pack: Daily Items: Lunch, multiple snacks, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, change of clothes, jacket and tennis shoes. Tuesday - Friday Items: Swimsuit, goggles, towel and swim cap. Campers should come to camp in their swimsuits ready for swim lessons. Monday and Friday Items: Camp T-shirt. Each camper will receive one camp shirt per year. Please wear the camp shirt on Mondays and Fridays.
