LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Emergency Vet Tech II - Goleta Presbyterian Church
You asked and we responded! Our newest addition…Young Physician II, brings more great projects as young campers delve further into their amazing body systems. Campers will peel back the layers and discover how these complex organs work: learn about disease, how our body fights back, the role of mucus; and digestion, from spit to…. well, you get the idea. They will uncover how the brain works through their own personal webcam, investigate the impact of food, exercise and sleep; and discover how bones and muscles are like cookies and pancakes. They will perform hands-on experiments as they learn about body temperature and fevers, take blood pressures, bandage wounds, and create herbal medicines. Campers will use a microscope, test for germs, map their organs, build a set of teeth, brain and virus models, AND take home their own MD kit. Kid's Day Camp (Mom's Day Out!) - Searcy, AR
You may drop children off for a 1/2 day or full day camp experience. Morning camp will consist of an acrylic 16 X 20 painting winter scene along with a hands-on activity. For the afternoon session, children will start with another hands-on craft with a smaller canvas painting. Children may be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up by 11:45 a.m. or drop off at 12:30 p.m. and picked up at 3:00 p.m. If you opt for full day (9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.), your child(ren) will get to participate in both morning and afternoon activities. The cost for the day camp for 1/2 day is $35 for the full day will be $70. If staying the entire day, we will provide sausage, pepperoni, or cheese pizza with a drink, or you may bring your own sack lunch.

Rain Forest Adventures - Forney, Trinity Family Church
Kids will learn about the rain forest through art & literature this week! They will draw & paint toucans, tree frogs, mandrills, exotic plants of the jungle, & many other aspects of the rain forest. Campers will enjoy using their creativity to create rain forest animals from clay each day. Please bring to camp: Large shoe or boot box for fired clay pieces (write name on box), old shirt to wear during camp Each day: Drink & snack to enjoy during 15 minute break About our Summer Camp! Campers will experience 3 hours of creative opportunities each day. They will learn & practice basic skills such as drawing with pencil, markers, charcoal, oil & chalk pastels. Students will learn color mixing & painting with artist paintbrushes while using watercolors & acrylic paints. Every day, students will get their hands into clay while they learn handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil & slab. All clay projects will be fired & will be ready 2-3 weeks after camp.
